Maria Nomikou

MSc Maria Nomikou (AGET), PhD Candidate Graduate of the Department of Civil Engineering, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (TEI of Piraeus). She completed a two-year MSc in “Seismic and Energy Upgrading of Structures and Sustainable Development” at the University of West Attica.
Employed at the HERACLES Group since 2001, she has held positions at the Hellenic Cement Research Center (Head of the Department of Physical and Mechanical Testing of Concrete and Aggregates) and at Lafarge Beton S.A.
In the interim, she worked as a Technical Support Engineer at ISOMAT S.A., a company producing construction chemicals and mortars.
In June 2017, she became Head of the Hellenic Concrete Technology Center, serving as Technical Manager and Quality Manager. In January 2024, she was appointed Head of the HERACLES Research and Technology Center (EKET), an accredited laboratory in accordance with EN ISO 17025.
Her expertise lies in advanced concrete technology and concrete durability.
