Telemachos Panagiotakos

Dr Telemachos Panagiotakos has extensive experience in the study of complex technical projects both in Greece and abroad as well as in research on earthquake engineering. He is CEO and Head of the Bridge Design and Special Projects Department of DENCO Structural Engineering. He has been involved in the structural design of all types of bridges, building complexes as well as in the assessment and redesign projects. He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Universities of Patras and Rome "La Sapienza" and has participated in several European Union research programs. He was a lecturer at the Department of Architectural Engineering of the University of Patras and he has been a member of the Greek Open University Adjunct Academic Staff in the "Earthquake Engineering and Seismic-Resistant Structures" Postgraduate Program. He has numerous articles in international scientific journals and conferences. He has been involved in both the research and drafting of Eurocode 8 as well as the Greek Code of Structural Interventions. He is a National Representative to the Eurocode 8, a member of the Bridge Committee within Eurocodes, a member of the WGs on the new Eurocode for “Seismic Strengthening of Structures” and for "Seismic Design of Bridges". He is a member of the Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization Committees for the Support of KANEPE, for the Seismic Upgrading of Buildings, for the Seismic Upgrading of Buildings and member of a number of scientific organizations.
